While I’m a Leatherman fan (my Skeletool hardly leaves my side) this looks mighty nifty. May have a place in the travel kit!

museumofusefulthings:

Saw this here. See more here.

The PIRANHA is a single-piece, multi-purpose pocket tool that is constructed from heat-treated and corrosion-resistant 154CM surgical stainless steel. A built-in neoprene bit holder secures full size bits, such as the included hardened steel USA-made double-ended Phillips/flathead that has been coated in rust-resistant black oxide.

Like the fish for which it’s named, the PIRANHA will help you get the job done quickly: tightening screws, loosening bolts, prying things open and popping the tops on your favorite beverages. And since you’ll barely notice this super slim multi tool in your pocket, it is perfect for everyday carry. It’s also TSA-compliant so there is no need to worry about it when you board your next flight.

Jeffery Deaver's XO - The Album

Borrowed this post from Treva!  She put it better than I could.

Also, since she posted, the album is up for sale at all the fine downloadable establishments, such as iTunes, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody, CDBaby, and more!  Check it out!

treva:

XO. Kisses and hugs. It’s a sweet farewell statement sometimes used to communicate our love for those really special people in our lives. Now, insert a stalker/serial killer and you have the latest project I’ve been working on. Sweet just got twisted to scary.

Here’s the skinny:

Free song from new XO album

Here’s a link to a free song from Jeffery Deaver’s XO - The Album.  It’s a companion album to Jeff upcoming novel (you guessed it, XO).  Jeff wrote the lyrics.  I understand they play into the plot of the novel!  How cool is that!

Clay Stafford and I co-wrote the music and co-produced the record.  The ever-amazing Treva Blomquist lent her vocal talents to the project as well!

Please check it out and tell your friends!

Of course the entire album is also available via iTunes and CDBaby!

This is my 2011 Animoog Holiday Song Entry for the contest from Moogmusic.com.All tracks were performed live on Animoog on the iPad (no MIDI!)Tracks were recorded and mixed in Logic Pro 9!
I was really impressed with the depth of sounds I could get out of the Animoog iPad instrument. Very realistic and acoustic-like sounds are possible! A number of sounds were original programs, some were tweaked factory presets as well.
I hope you enjoy it!Please like it on the Moogmusic Facebook page and help me win!
Thanks!

Nifty photoshop work! Sadly I retumbled this and the original attribution doesn’t seem to have come with. I’ll try to get a photo/ editing credit up soon.

Yet again, amazing how folks can make old tech work musically. I’m impressed. I also wonder where they find the time.
